Beautiful vintage 1958 Uneeda “LOTUS BLOSSOM” Dollikin doll 19"

Doll Description:
1958.  Approx. 19".  Jointed in 16 places for posing (neck, shoulders, upper arms, elbows, wrists, waist, thighs, knees, ankles).  Hard plastic body.   Soft vinyl head.  Beautiful face with painted eyebrows, lower eyelashes, red lips and blush cheeks. Dark gray sleep eyes.  Brush-hair eyelashes.   Blue sleep eyes.  Brunette rooted hair in original upsweep chignon style with forehead “spit curl”.  Dangling pearl earrings.  Red painted fingernails and toenails.
I do have the original gold-top outer box with the
Parents Magazine
commendation sticker and manufacturer’s number 5001, Uneeda Doll Co., Brooklyn, NY.
It’s in so-so-condition, and the interior display graphics and mountings are gone.

included in the sale unless the buyer is picking-up, rather than having the doll shipped.
Doll Condition:
I am her original owner, and I really didn’t actually play with her – I just posed her on a shelf, then admired her beauty.
She is absolutely gorgeous(others of this doll that I have seen for sale on-line just don’t seem to be as pretty).
To me, she bears a strong resemblance to the actress Loretta Young (if you’re old enough to know what a compliment that is).
Her eyebrows, lower lashes, red lips and cheek blush are perfect; nothing has been re-touched.
Her sleep eyes work well, and her hair eyelashes are intact.
Nail and toe polish is intact.
Other than a few stray wisps, her hair has never been loosened from the original chignon.
Her body has not discolored and has no marks.
She was re-strung, but time has somewhat loosened her again…..however, she is definitely poseable as you can see in the photos.
The doll was stored in an indoor trunk for decades until I recently brought her out to be a lovely decoration for my master bedroom.
Please know that this doll would not survive being played with like a child’s toy (a horrific thought)– please just continue to love her as a beautiful display decoration.

This was custom made around2010 and was based on the original ensemble.
It consists of lounging pants, kimono-tunic, wide obi sash, and coordinating hair ties.

Her original 3-pc lounging ensemble is included.
These items are no longer worn by the doll because the silk fabric began to disintegrate with age.
It is   and consists of a white satin bodysuit (long sleeve/ turtleneck) with matching capri pants, and a long oriental fan-print over-tunic. White high-heel sandals (elastic fatigued with age).

The fine print:
I am the original owner who played with these items as an only child. Everything was in an indoor storage trunk for many years.  I elected not to wash or dry clean any thing for fear of causing damage.
I’m not making a career out of Ebay. . . . I’m simply finding loving collector homes for some personal treasures.
My vintage items are used and may have some defects.
